An Analysis of Chinese Maritime Defense
Arts Taught in the Ryu Kyu
Kingdom
Email – cayugakarate@gmail.com
Cayuga Karate is a videoblog dedicated to the study of the military heritage of Chinese combative arts taught to Okinawans for half a millennia. It is an art that integrates the practice of a military weapon, a short spear, with traditional empty hand kata, taught by the Chinese to Okinawans.
This
blog provides the documentation that supports the hypothesis that Chinese
military authorities were likely to teach maritime defense arts, and do so in a
way that would ensure their secrecy. To date, I have completed initial analyses
for nearly 100 kata of likely Chinese origin that have been published on YouTube.
In addition, I have provided numerous posts that explore various aspects of the
historical record that fully support this hypothesis.
